Description

Skill Level: Open to All Levels | Guest Instructor: Andrea Alexander

Learn how to weave your own fabric on 10" looms with guest instructor, Andrea Alexander! In this 2.5 hour workshop, students will turn their fabric scraps into something completely new and beautiful! Students will learn weaving on a prepared 10" loom - a process that is fun, relaxing, and accessible for crafters of all skill levels. Students will make a unique textile that can be used in any project you like.

Andrea will start off the class by introducing herself, her inspiration, and her process. Then, students will prepare their fabric strips (Andrea will show you a useful tip on how to efficiently cut your scraps) and then it's off to weaving! Students will have about an hour of class time to weave as large a textile as possible. At the conclusion, Andrea will show students how to breakdown their loom - or, if you're feeling inspired to keep going, you'll have the option of purchasing the loom you worked on in class.

This workshop is suitable for crafters of any level - no prior weaving experience required! Come and learn a fun new skill with us!
