General Liability Waiver - Kids Classes

Effective immediately upon execution, I, upon my child’s participation in Sewing Classes at Urban Sewciety LLC, do hereby release and forever discharge Urban Sewciety LLC, their agents, employees, successors and assigns, and their respective heirs, personal representatives, affiliates, successors and assigns, and any and all persons, firms or corporations liable or who might be claimed to be liable, whether or not herein named, none of whom admit any liability to the undersigned, but all expressly denying liability, from any and all claims, demands, damages, actions, causes of action or suits of any kind or nature whatsoever, which I now have or may hereafter have, arising out of or in any way relating to any and all injuries and damages of any and every kind, to both person and property, and also any and all injuries and damages that may develop in the future, as a result of or in any way relating to the following:

Participation in Sewing Classes including but not limited to After-School Sewing Classes, Camps, Mini-Camps, and Private Lessons. Potential injuries arising from participation in Sewing Classes may include but are not limited to: Puncture wounds to fingers/hands or elsewhere by sewing machine needle and/or pins, external burns to skin caused by use of iron; cuts from other sharp objects such as fabric scissors. It is understood and agreed that participation can cause harm or injury; that this Release contains the entire agreement between the parties; and that the terms of this agreement are contractual and not merely a recital.

This Release may not be altered, amended or modified, except by a written document signed by both parties. Furthermore, this Release shall be binding upon the undersigned, and his respective heirs, executors, administrators, personal representatives, successors and assigns.

This Release shall be subject to and governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. This Release has been carefully read and fully understood by the undersigned. The terms have been explained to me and I am freely, knowingly and voluntarily entering into this Release.

Terms & Conditions and Policies - Kids Classes

Make-up Policy: Due to the special nature of our classes, we do not allow make-ups, EXCEPT in the case of observance of religious holidays. Our class sizes are carefully controlled for safety reasons and due to limited space; we cannot add students to classes outside their regular time slot. If Urban Sewciety cancels a class due to weather or other unforeseen circumstance, a make-up date will be provided.
Tool Kit: Every student must to bring a tool kit to class each day. Tool kits are available for purchase in our shop. Please write your child's name in Sharpie on as many of these tools as you can.
Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel your registration, you must notify us in writing to: sewcietykids@urbansewciety.com within 5 days of the start date of the class/course. When cancelling at least 5 days prior to the start date, a refund will be issued if and only if we are able to fill your spot; otherwise, a credit for a future class will be issued. Cancellation within 5 days of the class start date will result in no refund nor credit.
Permission to Photograph: By checking the Permission to Photograph box upon enrollment, I give my consent for my child(ren) to be photographed and/or filmed by employees of Urban Sewciety, with the understanding that the photos/videos may be used by Urban Sewciety LLC and Studio M Squared, LLC and its Licensees for website and social media publications. My child's name or personal information will not be used. By signing below, I grant permission to Urban Sewciety LLC and Studio M Squared and its Licensees to utilize any photos or videos of my child without prior approval. I further agree that Urban Sewciety LLC and Studio M Squared LLC will not inform me in advance of each occasion that my child's photo or video is used as described above.

Effective immediately upon execution, I, upon my participation in Sewing Classes at Urban Sewciety LLC, do hereby release and forever discharge Urban Sewciety LLC, their agents, employees, successors and assigns, and their respective heirs, personal representatives, affiliates, successors and assigns, and any and all persons, firms or corporations liable or who might be claimed to be liable, whether or not herein named, none of whom admit any liability to the undersigned, but all expressly denying liability, from any and all claims, demands, damages, actions, causes of action or suits of any kind or nature whatsoever, which I now have or may hereafter have, arising out of or in any way relating to any and all injuries and damages of any and every kind, to both person and property, and also any and all injuries and damages that may develop in the future, as a result of or in any way relating to the following:

Cancellation Policy - Adult Classes

If you need to cancel your registration, you must notify us in writing to: info@urbansewciety.com within 72 hours of the start date of the class/course. When cancelling at least 72 hours prior to the start date, a refund will be issued if and only if we are able to fill your spot; otherwise, a credit for a future class will be issued. Cancellation within 5 days of the class start date will result in no refund nor credit.
