Role:

We are seeking creative individuals to join our team of talented sewing instructors. Candidates MUST have strong sewing skills with

experience in many areas (quilting, bag-making, garment-making). Role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and a focus on excellence. And.... must love kids!

 

Compensation:

$24/hour and up, depending on experience level

Description:

Summer Camp Only positions: Great summer work for fashion design students, teachers, college students, or any sewing enthusiast with summer availability. Must be available between the weeks of June 29th and August 28th, daytime hours (between 9:30 am 4:30 pm). Half-day and Full-day positions available. Instructors are provided with all teaching materials and will attend training sessions.

 

Year-round positions: Teach camps in summer months and after-school classes September through June. Must be available between the weeks of June 29th and August 28th, daytime hours (between 9:30 am 4:30 pm). During school year must be available weekdays during after-school hours (approximately 3 pm to 7 pm). Instructors are provided with all teaching materials and will attend training sessions.

Description:

We are seeking a Buyer/Product Specialist for our retail shop. In this position, you will:

  • Lead inventory procurement efforts. 
  • Source new inventory and execute purchasing decisions with a focus on cost control and budget compliance. 
  • Meet with vendor reps to preview and order fabric collections and notions.
  • Receive and process inventory, ensure precise entry into the inventory management system, and maintain inventory accuracy through regular organization and removal of outdated products. 

 

Candidate must be an avid sewer with strong knowledge of industry product offerings, be highly organized with strong attention to detail, and have a high level of comfort with computer-based work. Experience working in Shopify a bonus.

Base pay:  Guaranteed $20 per hour during probationary period (90 days).  Post probationary period:  hourly plus sales commission.

Description:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Sewing Machine Salesperson & Educator to join our team.  This role combines retail sales with hands-on education.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in selecting sewing machines, accessories, and related products based on their needs.  Demonstrate sewing machines and explain features, benefits, and proper usage.  Meet store sales goals.
  • Build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
  • Provide one-on-one instuction and group classes on sewing machines. Educate on machine operation and troubleshooting.
  • Assist management team with inventory management, merchandising, and marketing efforts.

The ideal candidate has prior working knowledge of Janome sewing machines, is passionate about sewing, enjoys working with people, and thrives in a customer-focused environment.  Previous retail sales, customer service experience, and/or teaching experience a bonus.  Training will be provided, but position will also require self-education by working on the sewing machines

independently.
