Description
Skill Level: Intermediate
Make your own handmade backpack this Summer! The Buckthorn Backpack by Noodlehead is perfect for everyday use. It features a front slip pocket for easy access to smaller items like your car keys, wallet, or cellphone and a flat oval base. A divided interior pocket keps everything organized on the inside. The backpack features adjustable straps and is large enough to fit tablets, small laptops and notebooks. This is a great bag to gift to a loved one heading off to college!
Buckthorn comes in two versions - a backpack or a tote bag - in this class we'll only be making the backpack.
In this series, students will practice bag-making skills, including sewing a zipper, sewing an oval base, installing bag hardware, and binding. This class is suitable for intermediate students who can confidently thread and operate a sewing machine independently. Prior bag making and sewing with zippers experience is recommended.
