Can't find the perfect pillow to match your decor? Make your very own and learn some great new skills in class! During this class, students will learn the how to make their own piping and install an invisible zipper, all while making a handmade decorative pillow. In no time you'll be refreshing the decor in every room of your house!
This 3-hour class is suitable for advanced beginner to intermediate level students. Students must be able to confidently thread and operate a sewing machine independently.
Required Materials:
- (1) Pattern: The Essential Pillow by Studio M Squared
- (1) Project Kit: The Essential Pillow
Alternatively, if you do not wish to purchase a Project Kit, you will need:
- (1) Pattern: The Essential Pillow by Studio M Squared
- 5/8 yards of main fabric
- 1/8 yard of piping fabric
- 2-1/2 yards of 1/8" cording
- (1) 22" invisible zipper
- (1) 18" pillow insert
- (2) spools of thread - one to coordinating with the piping fabric and one to coordinate with the pillow fabric
Recommended Fabric:
- For the pillow fabric: quilting cotton, linen, canvas, or slub canvas (similar to upholstery weight fabric)
- For the piping fabric: quilting cotton
