NEW payment options for 2026-2027: 

• Pay for the full year up front and save 5%.  Your child's spot will be guaranteed for all 6 After-School Sessions at your preferred date and time for the full year; however, you may switch your child's day/time as needed.  
• Autopay:  Pay for the Early Fall session now, submit the Autopay form, and you will be billed approximately every 6 weeks (see exact billing dates on form).   Your child's spot will be guaranteed at your preferred date and time for the full year; however, you may switch your child's day/time as needed.  You will receive the Autopay form via email upon enrolling for the Early Fall session.   
• Pay As You Go:  Enroll and pay for one session at a time.  Your child's spot in future sessions is not guaranteed; you must register for all subsequent sessions.
• A limited number of scholarships are available for families that demonstrate need.  Apply here.

NOTE: Before entering our After School Program, students must have taken our Beginner Workshop.   Do not register your child for the After-School Program unless they have taken the Beginner Workshop or is registered to take it before the After-School Session begins. Students aged 7 & 8 must attend the Beginner Workshop with an adult; Ages 9+ may attend the Beginner Workshop by themselves.  See our Beginner Workshop schedule here.

About Our Sewciety Kids & Teens Sewing Program

Our popular after-school sewing classes are designed for students of all ages and skill levels, from brand-new sewers starting at age 7  to teens eager to create fashionable clothing, quilts and accessories.

In the Sewciety Kids & Teens Sewing Program, students progress through a structured curriculum.  Younger students (ages 7+) explore garment making, bag making, patchwork, embroidery, appliqué, and more, completing two projects per session—one decor or accessory item and one garment. 

Teens focus on skill-building techniques, such as using and modifying patterns, selecting appropriate fabrics, and mastering sewing basics. Instructors assess each teen’s skill level to assign suitable projects initially, with students gaining input on project choices as they advance. 

Students can come year round, September through June, and never make the same project twice.  Our Kids' curriculum includes four full years worth of skill-building sewing projects!  

Registration fee includes use of our Janome classroom machines as well as all fabric and materials.  Students "shop" for their materials from the full selection of modern, high quality fabrics in our retail store.  Students are required to bring their own tools weekly; purchase a Tool Kit here. 

With a strict 4:1 student-to-teacher ratio, students in the same time slot share our large studio but may work with different instructors.  Teens will be grouped together, separately from younger students.  If signing up with friends, notify us in advance, and we’ll try to keep them together, though large groups may be split.

Kids’ Class Cancellation Policy:
If your child is unable to attend the class/course/camp:

• You may receive a refund ONLY if we are notified in writing (via email – sewcietykids@urbansewciety.com) at least SEVEN DAYS prior to the start date of the class/course, AND we are able to fill your child’s spot.   Absolutely no refunds will be provided unless these conditions are met. 
• If we are notified in writing (via email – sewcietykids@urbansewciety.com) at least SEVEN DAYS prior to the start date of the class/course, and we are unable to fill your spot, you will receive a store credit for the full registration amount.  This credit will expire 9 months from the date of issuance and is only good for class registrations, not retail product.
• If we are notified less than one week prior to the start date of the course/class, absolutely no refund or credit will be issued.
