- Evening Session: Wednesday, September 23 6:30pm-9pm
Dress up your dining table for fall with these handmade pumpkin placemats. Grab a few fat quarters in coordinating autumnal colors, then add interfacing and batting for stiffness. Mix in a little topstitch thread, and you’ve got a recipe for holiday sewing success. Super quick and easy to make, these placemats will give your guests pumpkin’ to talk about!
This class is suitable for beginner students who have prior sewing experience. Graduates of our Sewing 101 and Quilting 101 class are encouraged to register.
Required Materials: (to make four placemats)
- (1) Pattern: Give 'Em Pumpkin to Talk About by Studio M Squared
- (4) coordinating fat quarters (one per placemat)
- 1 yard of backing fabric
- 3 yards of Pellon SF101
- (1) package of craft size batting (34" x 45")
- 1 spool of topstitch thread in coordinating color (12 wt Sulky Petites)
Recommended Fabric:
- We suggest using woven fabrics such as quilting cotton, linen/linen blends, or lightweight denim.
Required Tools:
