One of Quiltsmart's mottos is "Easy, Fast, and Smart!" and their Mondo Bag proves to be just that! Join Pat in the studio this February to make this unique quilted tote bag and learn how to use Quiltsmart's printed interfacing panels to create perfectly matched seams.
The Mondo is super versatile and is great for a weekend travel bag, diaper bag, or even a super cute project bag. During this class, students will learn how to make a quilted tote bag using Quiltsmart printed interfacing. With this technique, all of your seams will match up effortlessly!
Finished Bag Dimensions: 10" square bottom x 17" high.
This class is suitable for intermediate to advanced level students who have prior bag making and quilting experience. Students must be able to confidently thread and operate a sewing machine independently. There may be homework assigned by the instructor for students to complete in between class sessions.
Required Materials:
- (1) Pattern: Quiltsmart Mondo Bag
- exterior fabric - pattern calls for (16+) 2-1/2" strips of quilting cotton; for easier cutting, we recommend buying a 5" charm pack (42 pc.) or a jelly-roll
- 1-1/4 yd lining fabric
- 1-1/4" yd of Pellon 987F fusible fleece
- (1) spool of coordinating thread
