Description
Skill Level: Intermediate
Develop both your quilting skills and bag-making skills in this class!
There is so much to learn in this quilt-as-you-go version of the log cabin block. "Quilt as You Go" is a method in which the patchwork is sewn directly to the batting (in this case we're using fusible fleece), eliminating the need to quilt the layers together after completing your patchwork. The block makes up the front, sides and bottom of the tote, then has one solid piece as the back. The tote is fully lined, with an interior pocket and magnetic snap closure. Make your own fabric straps or choose 1-1/2" wide webbing.
This 4-week class is suitable for advanced beginner students who have experience using a rotary cutter. Students must be able to confidently operate a sewing machine independently.
