Skill Level: Confident Beginner to Intermediate | Instructor: Lauren Simpson + Michelle Gonzales

During this 2.5 hour workshop, students will upcycle a plain sweatshirt by adding flannel fabric and making a reverse applique tree design. This is a fun and festive project for the holidays - stitch one up for yourself or gift to a loved one!  Students must bring a PRE-WASHED sweatshirt to class with them.

This class is suitable for confident beginner to intermediate level students. Students must have taken our Sewing 101 and be able to confidently thread and operate a sewing machine independently.

Required Materials:

• your comfiest PRE-WASHED sweatshirt!
• 1/3 yd of flannel fabric or grab one of our specially curated flannel pre-cuts in the shop
• (1) spool of thread to match your sweatshirt color

Required Tools:

• fabric scissors or rotary cutter
  
• seam ripper
• pins and/or wonder clips
  
• chalk and/or frixion marker
