Skill Level: Confident Beginner

Class Date: Tuesday, October 20 - 6:30pm-8:30pm

Grab some fabric and batting and join us to make a cute bowl cozy!  This bowl cozy fits a standard soup bowl and is microwave safe.  These make great gifts - once you make one, you'll make dozens more!

This class is suitable for confident beginner students who have taken our Sewing 101 class or have an equivalent experience level.   Students will use a rotary cutter to cut fabrics for this project, but no prior rotary cutting experience is required - Pat will teach you!

Students must be able to confidently thread and operate a sewing machine independently.

Note:  In order for the completed bowl cozy to be microwave safe, ALL materials used must be cotton - fabric, batting, and thread.  

Required Materials:

• (1) Pattern: Bowl Cozy by Caroline Moore
  
• main fabric: (1) fat quarter or 1/3 yard cut
• lining fabric: (1) fat quarter or 1/3 yard cut
• cotton batting: (1) 12" x 24" piece or two scraps 12" x 12" each
• (1) Boxed Bag Template
• (1) spool of cotton thread

Required Tools:

• fabric scissors or rotary cutter + acrylic ruler
  
• seam ripper
• pins and/or wonder clips
  
• chalk and/or frixion marker
