The Moss Jacket by Helen's Closet is the ultimate easy layering piece for your wardrobe in the chillier months. The pattern offers two views - View A features an external front band fracing and hangs open in the front, making it a great wardrobe staple that can casual or dressed up. View B features a wide, folded collarand has long sleeves that make it the perfect lightweight outerware garment. Both views offer two lengths for the jacket and for the sleeves, allowing you to tailor it's look to best suite your needs. And, both views have pockets!
In this series, students will practice popular garment sewing techniques, including making a collar or external facing, sewing sleeves, making patch pockets, learning the "burrito method", and sewing a back yoke. Students must have prior garment sewing experience - graduates of our Garment 101 class are encouraged to register! Students must be able to confidently thread and operate a sewing machine independently.
