Class Dates: Wednesday, September 30 - 6:30pm-8:30pm
Grab your favorite autumnal fabrics and join us for a fast, fabulous, and fat-quarter friendly project this Fall! With a little machine sewing, a little hand sewing, and a bit of glue gun fun you'll whip up the cutest fall decor for your home. The pattern offers three sized pumpkins (small, medium, and large); in class students will make (1) medium pumpkin (5" diameter x 3" tall) and (1) large pumpkin (7" diameter x 4" tall).
This class is suitable for students who have taken our Sewing 101 class or have an equivalent experience level. Students must be able to confidently thread and operate a sewing machine independently.
Required Materials: (to make all three size pumpkins)
- (1) Pattern: The Pumpkin Patch by Studio M Squared
- (1) Project Kit: The Pumpkin Patch - this kit includes enough fabric and materials to make all three sizes of the pumpkins in the pattern (small, medium, large), plus the dowels, cork, twine, cup of rice, and embroidery floss
- (1) 3 oz. package of Polyfil stuffing
- (1) spool of coordinating sewing machine thread
- (1) pack of upholstery needles
Alternatively, if you do not wish to purchase a Project Kit with fabric and want to choose your own fabrics, you will need:
- (1) Pattern: The Pumpkin Patch by Studio M Squared
- (1) Suppy Kit: The Pumpkin Patch - this kit includes the cup of rice, 3 yards of twine, dowels, and cork to make the pumpkin stems
- (2) fat quarters - one for the medium pumpkin, one for the large
- (1) 3 oz. package of Polyfil stuffing
- (1) skein of coordinating embroidery floss - available for purchase in the shop
- (1) spool of coordinating sewing machine thread
- (1) pack of upholstery hand-sewing needles
Recommended Fabric:
- We suggest using woven fabrics such as quilting cotton.
