Skill Level: Confident Beginner to Intermediate | Instructor: Nancy Plominski

Class Session: Fridays, April 10, 17, 24 - 10:30am-1pm

Learn a new quilting skill while making something fun and festive in this beginner-friendly class! Join Nancy in the studio for a 4-week morning or evening session to make your own holiday table runner while learning the "quilt-as-you-go" method. This is a perfect project to use your favorite festive fabrics on, or you can get scrappy and use up fabrics from your stash pile!

Why Quilt-As-You-Go?
With the QAYG method, you are piecing and quilting your patchwork at the same time, eliminating the steps of basting and quilting the finished piece.  Once you've pieced the strips together, just trim the finished patchwork to size and bind it!

During this 3-week class, students will practice their piecing, rotary cutting, and binding skills. This class is suitable for advanced beginner students who have taken our Quilting 101 class or have an equivalent experience level of quilting. Students should be comfortable using a rotary cutter and must be able to confidently thread and operate a sewing machine independently.

Note: Our shop sample measures 14" x 42" which is perfect for a small table. However, if you'd rather make a larger sized table runner (14" x 80"), the fabric requirements are below:
