Skill Level: Confident Beginner to Intermediate
In this class, students will learn the “proper” way to bind a quilt, as well as a “cheater” method that’s beginner friendly. You’ll also learn the different methods involved in hand-sewing vs. machine sewing binding.
Students will be provided with small quilt sandwiches and binding fabric to practice on during this class. You’ll leave with the knowledge needed to bind your quilts at home, or in our spacious studio during one of our Quilt Labs!
In this 2.5-hour class, students will learn:
- How to calculate fabric yardage needed for your binding
- How to cut and prepare binding
- Attaching binding to quilt
- Finishing binding (both machine and hand methods)
