This roomy, self-lined floppy market bag is made from folding fabric and only a few seams. You can easily fold the bag up small and store it away when not in use. It's great for use as a shopping bag for the local farmer market, small laundry items, or as a gift bag — and is so much fun to make!

This class is suitable for beginner sewists who have taken our Sewing 101 class or have equivalent basic sewing machine experience. Students must be able to confidently thread and operate a sewing machine independently. This is NOT a learn-to-sew class.

Important Notes:

• All materials must be purchased in our shop to ensure you have the correct materials. Our staff is happy to assist you!

Required Materials:

• (1) Pattern: Market Bag by Sharon Holland - will be provided in class!
• 1-3/8 yards of main fabric (body of the bag)
• 1/8 yard of accent fabric (handles)
• (1) spool of coordinating thread

Recommended Fabric:

• We suggest using quilting cotton for this project.

Required Tools:

• fabric scissors or rotary cutter + acrylic ruler
