Impress your guests by dressing up the dinner table with custom handmade napkins. This pattern includes instructions to make three different styles depending on just how fancy you wanna get! Gather some prints to match your decor and get stitching, then call the neighbors over for dinner so you can show off your new skills! Bon Appetit!

Class will be set up demo-style: we’ll demonstrate how to make three different styles of handmade cloth napkins, then you can decide which style you’d like to make and spend the rest of the class time working on your napkins. Students will learn how to make mitered corners – a skill that can be used on lots of different projects.

This class is suitable for beginner level sewists who have taken our Sewing 101 class or have equivalent basic sewing machine experience.  Students must be able to confidently thread and operate a sewing machine independently. This is NOT a learn-to-sew class.

Napkin Versions:

• Napkin A: a super simple reversible napkin that's made from two coordinating prints
• Napkin B: a classic mitered-corner style made from only one fabric that's best suited for yarn dyed woven or linen fabrics
• Napkin C: combines the details of styles A and B - it uses two prints and features mitered corners - but is constructed differently from Napkin B so you'll learn a new technique.

Important Notes:

• We recommend students wait until after the demo portion of the class is finished to purchase their fabric downstairs in our shop.
• All materials must be purchased in our shop to ensure you have the correct materials. Our staff is happy to assist you!

Required Materials:

• (1) Pattern: Neat + Tidy Napkin Trio by Studio M Squared
• fabric - see pattern for fabric requirements in accordance with each version
• (1) spool of coordinating thread
• Clover Hot Ruler - optional, but not required - it's highly recommended for making Version B

Recommended Fabric:

• We suggest using quilting cotton or yarn dyed wovens for this project.

Project Kits:

• We have specially curated Project Kits for this project - the kit includes enough fabric to make either (4) 'Napkin A' versions or (4) 'Napkin C' versions. Kit is not made for 'Napkin B' version. Purchase your Project Kit here!
