This little bag is great to have on hand! It's perfect for a quick outing to run errands or for date night. The main compartment is a roomy zippered pouch that folds over to cover a slip pocket on the front of the bag, and stays folded down thanks to a magnetic snap closure. Stash your phone in the front pocket to keep it safe but easy to access. The use of cork or leather on the exterior of the bag and for the strap give it a professional looking finish!

Difficulty: For intermediate level sewists

Recommended Fabrics: Use a medium weight canvas or quilting cotton for bag exterior. Use quilting cotton weight fabric for the lining.

Finished Dimensions: 7-1/4" wide x 5-1/4" tall when closed; 7-1/4" wide x 9-1/2" tall when open

Materials needed for this project:

• Main Fabric: 1/3 yard (for bag exterior)
• Lining Fabric: 1/3 yard (for bag lining)
• Cork or Faux leather Fabric: (1) 12" wide x 6" tall piece
• Fusible interfacing 1/2 yard
• (1) 7" metal zipper 
  
• (1) set of 14mm magnetic snaps
  
• (1) 1/2" rectangular ring
  
• (1) 1/2" swivel hook
  
• (1) small rivet
