Description
Skill Level: Intermediate
Class Date: Sunday, January 3 - 12pm-4pm
Brighten your entryway or sewing studio with a charming, quilted statement piece! In this creative class, students will make a stunning Thread Spool Door Hanging using the Needle and Spool FPP pattern by Thimbles + Needles.
What is Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP):
- Foundation Paper Piecing is a game changing quilting technique where fabric pieces are stitched directy onto a paper pattern template. This method allows you to achieve incredible sharp angles, perfect points, and flawless precision that traditional piecing cannot match.
In this class, students will learn many new skills, including but not limited to: foundation paper piecing, using an Add-A-Quarter ruler, quilting, binding, and how to turn a quilt block into a finished door hanging. Students must have prior FPP and quilting experience and must be able to confidently thread and operate a sewing machine independently. Graduates of our Quilting 101 class are encouraged to register!
