Keep your important items close with the Walk, Don't Run project by Sallie Tomato. In this 2-hour class, you can choose to create a wristlet or lanyard for your preferred carry option - or if time permits, you can make both! Attach your keys, ID holder, novelty key chains, and your key fob in style with this beginner-friendly, easily customizable project. It also makes a great gift!
During this series, students will get to work with specialty fabrics such as cork or faux leather and install key fob hardware. This class is suitable for advanced beginner students who can confidently thread and operate a sewing machine independently.
Finished Dimensions:
- Wristlet: 1" wide x 6" long
- Lanyard: 1/2" wide x 17" long
Required Materials:
- (1) Pattern: Walk, Don't Run by Sallie Tomato
- (1) Project Kit: Wristlet + Lanyard
Alternatively, if you do not wish to purchase a Project Kit, you will need:
- (1) Pattern: Walk, Don't Run by Sallie Tomato
- 1/8 yard fabric for wristlet
- 1/8 yard fabric for lanyard
- 1/2 yard of Pellon SF101 - only if you are using quilting cotton or other lighter weight fabric
- (2) 1" key fobs
- (1) spool of coordinating thread
Recommended Fabrics:
- We suggest using cork, faux leather, laminated cotton or quilting cotton for the wristlet and/or lanyard.
