The finished tree skirt measures approximately 54Óx54Ó and is made up of several different elements including a 12Ó Compass block nested inside of a 28Ó Round Sunflower block, a large Dresden band, and faced petals around the perimeter. The finished medallion is quilted onto a felt background, split on one side, bound around this split, and then the felt is trimmed around the perimeter to finish off the tree skirt. This project can also be finished into a 60Óx60Ó quilt and the pattern has a design section where you can plan your own fabrics for either a tree skirt or a quilt!
